Talc is used in the production of mineral fertilizers in the form of granules or powders. The main area of application of talc in agriculture is pesticides.
Advantages of talc in the production of mineral fertilizers:
Talc prevents caking of products during storage and transportation and promotes their fluidity;
Since talc is hydrophobic by nature, it creates a barrier on the surface of fertilizer granules and pieces that limits the moisture absorption of the product;
Talc is chemically and physically inert, so it does not react with the environment and the product itself, and also protects the material from the same effects. For the same reason, ground talc is absolutely safe for living and plant organisms.
Depending on the requirements for the final product, ground talc with a particle size of 45 to 140 microns is used in the production of mineral fertilizers.
